For my third project, I modified a lesson plan from Ohio State University's "the Opper Project" to reflect a technology-rich approach that incorporates a Promethean flipchart.  Promethean is a global company which provides technological resources and support for educators to enrich teaching and learning in the 21st century classroom.  The company's ActivBoard systems and ActivInspire software are among such technological resources and their use in the 21st century classroom can serve to improve teacher effectiveness and increase student engagement.  The ActivBoard systems are "[d]esigned to focus attention and provide a platform to boost the interactivity of...lessons" and the ActivInspire software "enables teachers to bring lessons to life with rich, powerful activities that grab the attention of the whole class, blending real-time assessment and real-world experience into the learning process".[1]  For more information about Promethean's resources and support as beneficial, inspirational educational technologies in the 21st century classroom, check out "Why Promethean?"
